DRMCC 2024 End of Year Party
On May 25, Davis Red Maple hold an end-of-year celebration. It was a joyful and memorable event, marking the culmination of a successful season. We wish our seniors the best for their journey ahead and future endeavors!
2024 Spotlight Dance Cup
Red Maple Senior Team received a Ruby Award for the dance "Water Dragon Chant" (水龙吟). In addition to that, Red Maple Senior Team received the Diamond trophy of overall Division Winner in Novice Gem Division in the Northern California Regional Spotlight Dance Cup competition on March 24, 2024, in Hayward, California, receiving a Emerald Royalty Awards Member.
2024 CNYCA Chinese New Year Celebration
On Feb. 24, the Chinese New Year Culture Association (CNYCA) hold the 27th annual event to celebrate the Year of Dragon. The Celebration was located in Luther Burbank High School Sacramento. Red Maple Dance performed the dance "A Story of Ice Chrysanthemum" (冰菊物语) and "Water Dragon Chant" (水龙吟）Thanks for all the dancers, which are the shining Stars!
2023 Red Maple Holiday Performance
On Dec 16th, Red Maple dance team performed a holiday show at Davis Senior Center. We put up a great show which including senior group dance: Water Dragon Chant", junior group dance: “A Story of Ice Chrysanthemum" , solo: ”big fish“ and Chinese Martial Arts: Shaolin Broadsword. Thanks for all the dancers, which are the shining Stars!
2023 Red Maple 20th Anniversary Celebration
Red Maple will Celebrate it's 20th Anniversary on May 20, 2023! We will welcome the return of our Alumni to meet current families, enjoy performances, food, and play games.
2023 Spotlight Dane Cup
This year, Red Maple received a Diamond Award in Teen for the dance "Ten Thousand Land" (万疆). In addition to that, Red Maple received the trophy of overall Division Winner in Novice Gem Division in the Northern California Regional Spotlight Dance Cup competition on March 25, 2023, in Hayward, California, receiving a Ruby Award & Sapphire Royalty Awards Member.
2023 NewStar Chinese New Year Celebration
On Jan. 21, Red Maple performed the dance "Ten Thousand Land" (万疆）at Davis NewStar Chinese School's Chinese New Year Celebration. The Celebration was located in the Richard Brunelle Hall of Davis Senior High School, and once again, we thank Davis Newstar Chinese School for many years of great support!
2021–2022, Finally Done With the Online Classes:
Red Maple group returned to in-person dance classes with reasonable safety policy and weekly safety survey screening and made a successful safe year with outdoor video recordings. Senior group performed “Fearless” (霍元甲) at CNYCA 2022 Online Celebration and APAPA Asian Heritage Celebration; “Farewell” (送别) at Pamela’s Dance Project. Junior group performed “Spring Smile” (桃花笑) at Locke Asian Pacific Spring Festival and Cannery Chinese New Year Celebration. Red Maple also organized team activities such as Autumn Hiking, Halloween Biking, and End of Year party.
Though alienated from fellow members, Red Maple started online dance classes weekly from summer 2020 through the school year with the goal of maintaining physical and mental health. Besides dance classes, board members and families also contributed to run online activities such as games, cooking, photography lessons. It was quite a year of challenges but with lots of fun and love.

Davis Red Maple Dance Club attended Spotlight Dance Cup 2009-2015 Regional Dance Competitions.
Red Maple received Ruby Award in 2015 National Spotlight Dance Cup competition on June 28th, 2015 in Las Vegas and is invited to the final competition as one of the top four dance teams.
